Dyno Testing Ballymena

Dyno testing in Ballymena on two rolling roads: Autotune (NI) Ltd can test front, rear and four-wheel drive cars at our workshop.

A dyno run shows the power and torque your car really makes, before or after tuning, or when it feels down on power.

Our 4WD dyno runs a loaded simulation, which gives results closer to real-world driving. Book a run for your own car, or bring some friends and arrange your own dyno day.

Dynos rated to 700bhp (2WD) and 1360bhp (4WD)

4WD Loaded Dyno

Our 4WD dyno is a DasTek dynamometer with eight twin-bank loaded rollers.

Because the rollers are loaded, it simulates the resistance a car meets on the road, rather than only measuring how quickly it spins the rollers up. It takes an axle load of 2,500kg and speeds up to 186mph.

It is rated to 1360bhp, and the most we have tested on it is 868bhp from an Audi RS6. The wheelbase adjusts from 2,200 to 3,200mm to suit most cars.

Dyno Testing Services

Our dyno testing services suit everyday drivers and keen enthusiasts alike. Many people book a run to see what their car makes before a remap, then again afterwards to see the gains. Others want to check a car that feels down on power, or compare figures after new parts are fitted.

Each car is strapped down securely and run through its gears while the dyno records power and torque. We talk you through the results, and live data logging helps show what the engine is doing during the run.

2WD Inertia Dyno

Our 2WD dyno is a SportDevices dynamometer with four linked inertia rollers.

The 545mm rollers have an inertial mass of 1,250kg and take front and rear-wheel drive cars with a wheelbase width up to 2,100mm.

It is rated to 700bhp, and the highest figure we have recorded on it is 816bhp from a Toyota Supra.

A run before and after tuning shows exactly what has changed.

Create Your Own Dyno Day

A dyno day is a good way to see how your car compares with your friends' cars. Bring a group of friends and their cars, and we will set up a session at our Ballymena workshop.

Front, rear and four-wheel drive cars can all take part, because we have both 2WD and 4WD dynos.

Whether you want to see your figures after a remap or just find out what your car makes as standard, a dyno day is the place to do it. Contact Autotune (NI) Ltd to talk through numbers and timings.

Book Dyno Testing

Contact Autotune (NI) Ltd to book dyno testing for cars from Ballymena, Randalstown, and Antrim.

Tell us your car, whether it is front, rear or four-wheel drive, and any modifications fitted. If you are booking a run alongside a remap, we can plan both for the same visit.

Bookings are made by calling the office, and we will let you know the cost for your car when you book.
